JetCoast — for custom completion and faster aircraft delivery times
Jetcraft does not limit its focus to pre-owned aircraft. Recognizing that many of our clients see the benefits of purchasing new, but want to consider alternative supply channels, Jetcraft offers the JetCoast program. This alternative completion channel for select new aircraft offers a higher level of flexibility, quality and shortened lead times for your custom-completed new aircraft. As part of this service, Jetcraft monitors the production and completion of a new aircraft as your on-site ‘eyes and ears,’ offering technical consulting as necessary. At present, the program covers the current Challenger series and select Global XRS aircraft, and also can be applied to the refurbishment of pre-owned aircraft as well.
Jetcraft-ed™ — for your peace of mind
Our quality and value assurance program, Jetcraft-ed is a designation applied only to select premium-quality owned and brokered aircraft. To become Jetcraft-ed, an aircraft must meet a stringent series of qualifications regarding its age, ownership history, condition of records, maintenance status, airframe and engine maintenance programs, and avionics equipment. In addition, entertainment systems and interior fittings must be in new or like-new condition. When it meets our standards, we call it Jetcraft-ed. To become Jetcraft-ed, an aircraft must undergo a detailed formal records audit and visual inspection, and any improvements that may be required are made prior to customer delivery. Brokered aircraft are eligible for the program if the owner completes a similar audit and agrees to deliver the aircraft in the required condition. All Jetcraft-ed aircraft are delivered with a complete documentation package, certification, and appropriate warranties. As an added value bonus, Jetcraft will provide favorable terms on future trade-ins or brokerage of any aircraft that earns the Jetcraft-ed designation.
Enhanced Flight Vision Systems (EFVS) through Jetcraft Avionics
Take full advantage of custom aircraft solutions for aftermarket business and wide-body aircraft. Through an exclusive alliance with Elbit-Kollsman, our subsidiary Jetcraft Avionics offers you Enhanced Flight Vision System solutions. By installing the world’s most advanced EFVS — Elbit-Kollsman’s EVS-II and new Advanced Technology Head-Up Display (AT-HUD) — on your aircraft, you will have the best in real time situational awareness and improved flight operations available anywhere in the world today. The AT-HUD is the smallest, lightest HUD available, while the EVS-II is the most sensitive EVS available with the greatest dynamic range. Read more about Jetcraft Avionics here.
Asset management consultation
Most likely, you will simply want to use your aircraft as business or personal transport, and won’t be doing the flying, maintenance or trip scheduling yourself. This is the case in the vast majority of aircraft ownership situations. Jetcraft can be very helpful to you in this regard, by offering you information and connections to the best companies in the world that provide aircraft management services. Typical tasks these companies handle may include hangaring, crew selection and hiring, temporary staffing, setting up a maintenance department and oversight of inspection schedules, flight and trip planning and potential charter opportunities to offset aircraft operating costs. Please ask any of our transaction specialists for additional information about this service.
Purchase by Jetcraft for inventory or trade
If a client must sell an aircraft before another one replaces it, Jetcraft is one of very few companies that can and will buy your aircraft for its own inventory to complete a transaction. If doing so makes financial sense for all parties and we believe the value and demand for the aircraft going forward are sound, Jetcraft will acquire it in a trade or exchange until we can find the right buyer. This service is offered on an exclusive basis to our clients under a variety of deal structures.
Tax advantages under IRS Like-Kind Exchange laws
Under Internal Revenue Code 1031, when buying an aircraft to replace your current one, you may postpone paying tax on the gain if you reinvest the proceeds in similar property. This type of qualifying transaction is known as a like-kind exchange. The simplest like-kind exchange is a simultaneous swap of one property for another, but there are other types of exchanges. Deferred exchanges are more complex but allow flexibility. To qualify, the exchange of the aircraft with its replacement must be mutually dependent parts of the same transaction, and both aircraft must meet certain criteria to qualify as like-kind. Following strict time limits set by the IRS is imperative to meet the criteria, or you may be held liable for taxes, penalties, and interest. One way to avoid this occurrence is to use the services of a qualified, independent third party intermediary or other exchange facilitator to hold the proceeds until the exchange is complete, because neither you nor Jetcraft can act as your facilitator. Jetcraft transaction specialists are skilled at the application of this law, and have business relationships with many such companies that can provide this service for you.
Fleet planning
If you plan to acquire multiple aircraft, or already operate a fleet, Jetcraft can perform a complete needs analysis for you based on your current and projected operational usage. This analysis will include a look at ownership costs, and whether charter or fractional ownership may be a better financial option for you. The analysis will involve aircraft selection based on your identified mission profiles and frequency of operation. Jetcraft has a history of fleet operation and can give you the benefit of their first-hand experience to help you make decisions.
