Q&A with Guillaume Chamoin

Guillaume 2 JSGuillaume Chamoin, former Aircraft Sales Representative, Jetcraft
Location: Paris, France

How long have you been at Jetcraft?

I have been at Jetcraft since July 2013. I joined when they acquired the ExecuJet Aircraft Trading group.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I am in charge of Europe sales alongside with my 2 european colleagues. I work to help buyers find the right aircraft for purchase, and to help sellers find the right buyer for their aircraft.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

There is no typical day.  Often I am working on a sale which has many parts that include organizing the viewing of an aircraft, negotiating the terms and conditions, and ultimately closing the deal.  If I’m not working on a sale then I may be in meetings with sellers or prospects for potential sales. I update the sellers of Jetcraft’s exclusive listings to keep them updated on any activity.  I also spend time targeting aircraft which might be for sale soon, and with the help of my sales engineer I am preparing the market analysis and the value of this aircraft to show the seller how Jetcraft can help.

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy the opportunities to help my clients to work through deals and negotiations to ultimately help them to get the right aircraft for their mission.

Describe the company culture at Jetcraft and what it means to you?

This is a very straight-forward culture with no politics. Everybody is dedicated to closing aircraft transactions and there is no time wasted. For me, it means that when you need support, you get it very quickly. Jetcraft is also very creative and will always try to find a way to make the deal happen for our customers.

What do you want your customers to experience when dealing with Jetcraft?

I want my customers to get the best support, dealing with the best professionals. With Jetcraft being a global company, I want to help them benefit from Jetcraft’s global relationships with more opportunities to sell or buy their aircraft.

Who or what has been your greatest professional influence?

I would say Jahid Fazal-Karim has been a big influence. Since joining Jetcraft he has taught me a lot about how to best help our customers and how to be creative to close deals that are difficult. He has a lot of knowledge on ways to get creative to help our customers and I have enjoyed learning from him.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Professional, good relationships, dedicated.

If you were to buy a business jet, which aircraft would suit your needs and why?

I would choose the Falcon 2000EXE as this is an aircraft with which you can do almost every mission. Short hauls with a great cabin and good performance or long haul with a fuel stop. She is worth the value you pay for it.

What stands out to you as good customer service?

Availability. I always tell my customers that I will always do my best to help them and find solutions to their problems. I will be available and with them through every step.

Finally, what is your hidden talent or hobby?

I enjoy playing golf with friends. I also love dancing…
