Cessna Citation VII Overview (1992 – 2000)

Product Overview

The Cessna Citation VII is part of the Citation 650 series, which included a total of four aircraft types (Citation III, IV, VI and VII). One of the biggest differentiating features of the Citation VII was improved engines which allowed for higher altitude capabilities than the Citation III.

As of October 2015, all of the Citation VII aircraft in operation were purchased pre-owned by the current owner. 13.7% are currently for sale with the majority of those (75%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average number of days a Citation VII remains on the market is 492.

Brief History

The first flight of the Citation VII took place in February 1991. Production ended in 2000 with a total of 119 deliveries. The Citation VII model is a continuation of the Citation III model and the latest in the 650 series of Citation jets.

Worldwide Appeal

There are 117 Citation VII aircraft in operation today. Most of these are owned outright (111) with 12% currently leased. North America has the largest percentage of Citation VII aircraft (70%), followed by Europe (10%) and South America (10%).
