Describe a typical day or week in your role.
A typical day for me really depends on the amount and the type of deals that we do. More often than not it involves, doing maintenance, reserve, cash flows creating, updating tech specs, reviewing LOIs and such.
Tell us what you enjoy most about your role.
What I enjoy most about my role is the variety, both in terms of the tasks that I perform and the aircraft types that I work with.
Describe what you are most proud of in your professional journey.
What I take pride in the most in my professional journey is how eager I am to learn new things. Every year I try to do as many courses as I can. I’ve done the Aircraft Law and Finance courses. I’ve done Type Certificate for Aircraft. I have done Maintenance Records courses. So, I’m always eager and willing to learn new things.
Tell us how Jetcraft’s global network of offices and specialists benefit clients.
We have a very experienced team most come from OEM backgrounds. That gives us a plethora of knowledge in terms of the data sets that we have. So, it really helps us to be efficient and productive with our time.
Explain how Jetcraft’s data and analytics are used within your work.
Most of the data that I use within my role relates to aircraft maintenance costs. We have a plethora of data points that we’ve gathered over the years, and it really allows me to be more accurate in my analyses and cash flows.
Share which Commercial aircraft you would buy.
If I were to choose a commercial aircraft type, it would probably be ATR 72, ATR 42. It’s the aircraft that I have the most experience with and it’s a very economic aircraft to operate. It’s also easier to place them on leases.
Share a travel essential you couldn’t live without.
A travel essential that I can’t live without would probably be Bluetooth earphones because when you’re on the move, it’s so much easier to join meetings or listen to whatever you need to, whilst keeping your hands free. So, it’s definitely something that I can’t live without.
Share the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given.
I think the best piece of advice that I was given is to write everything down. Whether it’s in meetings or something that you’re working on yourself, like a cash flow or some kind of analytics, it’s easy to forget things or lose track of your thoughts. When you write everything down, it’s easy to go back. It also activates a different part of your brain, as opposed to typing and it helps you memorize things a lot better.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working with Jetcraft?
I think the most rewarding aspect of working in Jetcraft is the amount that I’m learning. We have a very knowledgeable team with diverse expertise and a lot of different aircraft types that I encounter every day. It’s really enjoyable for me to learn so much and it keeps you on your toes. It’s something new every day, variety, it doesn’t let you get bored.
