Jetcraft has been playing a key role in support of the RTCA NextGen Advisory Council (Sub Committee). Since 2011 Jetcraft has contributed to various task groups covering business case & performance metrics, including fuel efficiency in the NAS. During 2014 Jetcraft served on the PBN Blue Print for Success Task Group,  specifically leading a small team researching and producing the report section; Outcomes and Metrics for Success section (including App C and E). How long have you been at Jetcraft?

I have been at Jetcraft for almost 12 years.  I started as a part-time Receptionist and my position has evolved into what it is. I have loved every minute of being a Jetcraft Team Member.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I am still the Receptionist, and the Sr. Administrative Assistant.  I also am the Travel Coordinator for the company, which includes planning and coordinating the logistics for our many events and shows.

A typical day in my role, is never typical. The Cessna Citation CJ1 was the second aircraft in the CitationJet/CJ series which replaced the original model CitationJet (CJ). The Citation CJ1 improved upon the original CitationJet with an updated EFIS avionics suite and an increased maximum takeoff weight. The CJ1 can be single-pilot operated.

As of March 2014, the Citation CJ1 market is comprised of 79% pre-owned. The percentage for sale is 12.2% with 67% of that under an exclusive broker agreement and average days on the market are 496 days.

Brief History

The Citation CJ1 began production in 2000 and ended manufacture in 2005. During that time, a total of 198 aircraft have been produced with all but one currently in operation.

Company president Chad Anderson says a lot of what they do involves “expectation management.” Anderson says people tend to think the aircraft sale and purchase process will be easier than it is. Situational awareness for pilots and air traffic control (ATC) is critical both in the air and on the ground. Ground awareness extends to all users of airport movement areas as well as to ATC. It is also not just about safety and traffic avoidance, however. For a singular aircraft, taxiing around an unfamiliar airport can become very challenging at night and during low visibility.

Situational awareness is critical in all phases of flight (that means from ramp-toramp), but it typically increases in and around airports and Metroplexes. The Cessna Citation XLS+ is the third aircraft in the Citation Excel series. It is the updated version of the Citation XLS and features improved Pratt & Whitney PW545C engines and an upgraded Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite. Exterior and interior restyling is also integrated into the new model, most prominently the extended contour of the nose and expanded seat widths.

As of March 2014, the Citation XLS+ market is comprised of 16% pre-owned. The percentage for sale is 8.7% with 57% of that under an exclusive broker agreement and average days on the market are 212 days.

Brief History
