Dassault launched the Falcon 900 in 1987 and introduced the Falcon 900EX in 1996. In 2003 Dassault began offering the 900EX with the EASy digital cockpit calling the model the 900EX EASy. Based on the Honeywell Primus Epic system, EASy (Enhanced Avionics System) offers improved safety via information management features to improve overall crew situational awareness.

As of January 2019, 60% of the Falcon 900EX EASy aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 40% new. 7.6% are for sale with the majority of those (89%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 288 days.

Brief History

The Falcon 900EX EASy received certification from the FAA and EASA in November 2003 and production ended in 2010. A total of 122 Falcon 900EX EASy business jets were built, 3 are retired.

Product Overview

The Cessna Citation XLS+ is the third aircraft in the Citation Excel series (also including the Excel and the XLS models). It is the updated version of the Citation XLS and features improved Pratt & Whitney PW545C engines and an upgraded Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite. Exterior and interior restyling is also integrated into the new model, most prominently the extended contour of the nose and expanded seat widths.

Certification for the Citation XLS+ came in the first quarter of 2008 with the first customer delivery in the final quarter of 2008. A total of 261 Citation XLS+ aircraft were built, 1 is retired and 4 are with the manufacturer.

Product Overview

The Gulfstream GIV/GIV-SP is a midsize cabin business jet with significant improvements including a larger cabin, longer-range and advanced development over the earlier GII and GIII. The biggest improvement with the GIV/GIV-SP over the earlier Gulfstream models is the Rolls-Royce Tay engines which bring more efficient fuel burn and lowered noise emission.

The GIV/GIV-SP is the first in the Gulfstream family to employ Goodyear Aerospace’s brake-by-wire system and a Dowty fail-passive steer-by-wire system, making maneuverability easier. The Gulfstream GIV-SP gross takeoff weight is a 1,400 pound increase over the GIV.

As of October 2018, 85% of Gulfstream GIV-SP aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 15% new. 8.9% are for sale with the majority of those (86%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 339 days.

Brief History

The Gulfstream GIV-SP (SP stands for Special Performance) replaced the GIV in September 1992. The GIV-SP has higher payload and landing weights and improved payload range performance. There is an Aircraft Service Change (ASC) 190 modification which allows an owner/operator to upgrade a GIV to a GIV-SP. A total of 304 GIV-SP business jets were built, 2 are retired.

Product Overview

The Falcon 2000 is a twin-engine French-made business jet and is essentially a slightly smaller development on the Falcon 900 trijet, with United States transcontinental coast to coast market range.

The Falcon 2000 jet comes with fault monitoring and digital diagnostic systems, which help the mechanic in troubleshooting and repair work.  Most parts of the airplane are positioned to be easy for mechanics to reach and maintain.  The Falcon 2000 was designed to spend as little downtime in the shop as possible.

As of October 2018, 84% of Falcon 2000 aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 16% new. 10.4% are for sale with the majority of those (77%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 196 days.

Brief History

Dassault introduced the Falcon 2000 as the Falcon X in 1989 and carried out the development of the aircraft in partnership with Alenia. The first flight came in 1993 with entry into service in 1995. A total of 231 Falcon 2000 business jets were built, 1 is retired.

The Falcon 2000 was the first private jet that Dassault designed without a physical model.  Its design was completely digital, created by Computer Aided Three-dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA) software. This software helped improve aerodynamic structure and simplified the airplane’s systems.

Product Overview

The Cessna Citation Sovereign was designed to provide overall excellent performance while allowing exceptional comfort for passengers. It was first introduced as a high-performance jet to plug the gap between the Excel/XLS and Citation X, but its claim to fame is that it can take-off and land at short distances thanks to a moderately swept high-aspect ratio wing.

As of August 2018, 58% of the Citation Sovereign aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 42% new. 3.7% are for sale with half of those (54%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 344 days.

Brief History

The Cessna Citation Sovereign was first unveiled in 1998 at the NBAA Annual convention in Las Vegas, Nevada and the first flight took place in February 2002. FAA certification was awarded in June 2004 and customer deliveries began later that same year. Production of the Citation Sovereign ended in 2013 as the Sovereign+ began deliveries. A total of 350 Citation Sovereign business jets were built, 1 is retired, 1 is at the manufacturer.

The Challenger 300 is a mid-size business jet offering long-range capabilities in a typical eight-passenger cabin and promising passenger comfort, performance, reliability, and good operating economics. In the 1990’s business jet manufacturers envisioned the super-midsize category and the Challenger 300 was Bombardiers response to that vision.

As of August 2018, 50% of the Challenger 300 aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 50% new. 4.8% are for sale with the majority of those (82%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 149 days.

Brief History

The Challenger 300 was launched at the Paris Air Show on July 13, 1999, at which time it was called the Bombardier Continental. It was a clean sheet design assembled in Bombardier’s Learjet plant at Wichita Mid-Continent airport, Kansas. The jet was renamed in September 2002 after much debate about which category (Learjet, Challenger, or Global) the new aircraft fit into. FAA type certification was received in June 2003, with entry into service in January 2004. A total of 457 Challenger 300 aircraft were manufactured, 2 are retired and 1 is at the manufacturer.

Product Overview

The Global Express is a large cabin, ultra long-range business jet produced by Bombardier. It launched as 1 of 4 new aircraft models built to compete in the new ultra-long range large-cabin market. The Global Express shares the Canadair Regional Jets fuselage cross-section and features an advanced all new supercritical wing with a 35-degree sweep, winglets, and a new T-tail.

As of June 2018, 77% of the Global Express aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 23% new. 9.5% are for sale with the majority of those (86%) under an exclusive broker agreement. Brief History

The Bombardier Global Express (BD-700) was first announced in October 1991 at the NBAA Annual Event as part of a new class of ultra long range large-cabin business jets being manufactured by Bombardier. It was designed to fly long distances at a high speed between any two points on the globe and to need only one refueling stop. The Global Express was officially launched on December 20, 1993 and its first flight was on October 13, 1996. In 1998 it received Canadian (July) and US (November) Certification with first customer deliveries in the first quarter of 1999. A total of 150 Global Express aircraft were manufactured with all but 2 still in operation.

Product Overview

The Citation VI is a continuation of the Citation III model, which was designed for optimal speed and utilized lightweight composites and smooth surfaces to cut down on drag. It can climb quickly to flight level and can cruise at a speed of 469 knots.

As of June 2018, 94% of Citation VI aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners, the other 6% new. 19.4% are for sale with more than half of those (71%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average time on the market is 441 days

Brief History

Designed as a more economical version of the Citation III, the new Citation VI model delivered lower operating costs plus good speed and range capabilities. It was equipped with a basic standardized avionics package and a generic cabin interior without the option of custom interiors. Unlike the digital autopilot of the Citation III, the Citation VI uses an analog version to cut cost and weight. The Citation VI was delivered in April 1991 and was discontinued in May 1995. A total of 38 Citation VI aircraft have been manufactured with 36 in operation worldwide.

The Citation III, a midsize cabin business jet with a 2,054 nm range, was the first of Cessna’s model 650 series. It was designed for optimal speed, utilized light weight composites and smooth surfaces to cut down on drag, and featured an entirely new fuselage mated to a super-critical swept back wing and a T-Tail.

As of May 2018, 100% of the Citation III aircraft were purchased pre-owned by their current owners. 21.2% are for sale with more than half of those (64%) under an exclusive broker agreement. Brief History

Cessna set out to build a private jet with impressive range and speed while keeping costs low and performance high, and thus the Citation III was created. The new model symbolized several milestones in the Citation program – it was Cessna’s entry into the high speed, medium corporate jet market, their first model to utilize Garrett (now Honeywell) and not P&W engines, and was a departure from the original structural design of all previous models. At the time of release the Citation III had the longest range and the fastest overall cruise speed of any midsized jet.
