I am the summer marketing intern at the Jetcraft headquarters in Raleigh, NC. As an intern at Jetcraft, I hope to learn from marketing professionals while providing support to the Marketing team in whatever ways I can. Each day always brings something different, so there isn’t really a “typical day” – which I love because I’m constantly learning. I have been at Jetcraft since July 2013. I joined when they acquired the ExecuJet Aircraft Trading group.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I am in charge of Europe sales alongside with my 2 european colleagues. I work to help buyers find the right aircraft for purchase, and to help sellers find the right buyer for their aircraft.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

There is no typical day.  Often I am working on a sale which has many parts that include organizing the viewing of an aircraft, negotiating the terms and conditions, and ultimately closing the deal.  If I’m not working on a sale then I may be in meetings with sellers or prospects for potential sales. How long have you been at Jetcraft?

It’s hard to believe, but I have been with Jetcraft just over 19 years!  When I started with the company, we had one office in Raleigh, and I was one of 6 people working for the company at that time.

I am privileged to serve as the Chief Financial Officer, and have the responsibility of overseeing worldwide financial, treasury and human resource functions within the company.  I have a wonderful, dedicated team that works alongside me to handle the day-to-day requirements of these functions.

I am a sales person, my role is to develop Jetcraft’s business in Europe alongside my friends Chris and Guillaume. Of course, I deal primarily in pre-owned (pre-enjoyed?) aircraft, but I also am in the enviable position to sell new aircraft as well. Last year we delivered two new aircraft to their happy new owners in Switzerland, a Global 5000 and a Falcon 900LX.

As a Sales Engineer, my number one responsibility is to provide accurate sales support for my assigned sales team members. The majority of my value to the team are aircraft value assessments, building/updating specifications, coordinating market broadcasts, aircraft viewing and inspections, etc.

Between the Asia sales team I tend to stay in the office more often, not only due to the fact that the majority of my tasks are clerical work, but I also have to support my Sales VPs when they go out meeting with people. What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

As Transaction Manager, I am responsible for ensuring everything is in place for a successful aircraft closing.  My involvement in a transaction begins when a listing agreement or letter of intent is signed, and continues throughout the contracting process and subsequent closing.  It is very detail-oriented work, anything from making sure the proper number of original documents are in place, down to ensuring what color ink was used to sign them!  In addition, I am responsible for figuring out the financial breakdown of the sale proceeds for the seller’s benefit.

My number one responsibility is supporting my sales team. I support five different sales directors located throughout EMEA. Anything I can help with from Spec builds, Aircraft evaluations to Aircraft viewings.
