How long have you been at Jetcraft?

I joined the Jetcraft team in January 2015 as the President of Jetcraft Commercial.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I am the focal point of anything related to commercial aircraft activity within the Jetcraft group. My focus is on aircraft that are for passenger service, not designated to be a VIP service. I work mainly with airlines and occasionally with corporations or on aircraft for military application.

I help customers and financiers (lessors or banks) to sell inventory that they have and to acquire inventory that they need.

My role is to facilitate transactions that meet the requirements and satisfy our customers, both buyers and sellers, and remains consistent with the high level of service that Jetcraft has extended to its existing customer base over the last 54 years.

How long have you been at Jetcraft?

I have been here since October 2007 and I did consultant work with Jetcraft for 3 or 4 years prior to that.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

I am a Vice President of Sales in the Midwest Region of the United States. I work with clients in my region to either help them find the right buyer for their aircraft, or if they are looking for an aircraft to purchase I will help them determine what they need and then help them find it.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

There is no typical day, but I do usually spend a lot of the day on the phone. I also do a lot of traveling to meet with different clients. I take my roller bag office to wherever I’ll be for the day or week and setup shop.

My day includes a lot of telephone calls. I spend time speaking with prospects and other brokers/dealers, arranging meetings, studying inventory and exploring the market for new opportunities.

I am the summer marketing intern at the Jetcraft headquarters in Raleigh, NC. I am a sales person, my role is to develop Jetcraft’s business in Europe alongside my friends Chris and Guillaume. Of course, I deal primarily in pre-owned (pre-enjoyed?) aircraft, but I also am in the enviable position to sell new aircraft as well. Last year we delivered two new aircraft to their happy new owners in Switzerland, a Global 5000 and a Falcon 900LX.

As Transaction Manager, I am responsible for ensuring everything is in place for a successful aircraft closing.  My involvement in a transaction begins when a listing agreement or letter of intent is signed, and continues throughout the contracting process and subsequent closing.  It is very detail-oriented work, anything from making sure the proper number of original documents are in place, down to ensuring what color ink was used to sign them!  In addition, I am responsible for figuring out the financial breakdown of the sale proceeds for the seller’s benefit.
