I joined Jetcraft Avionics on February 1, 2007. I came to Jetcraft with 40 years of experience in avionics systems including repair, modification, flight test, certification, documentation, sales and training.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

My title is Technical Director for Jetcraft Avionics. I helped develop the HUD Vision Access system for aftermarket business aircraft, and continue to work to promote it. I also am involved in other avionics programs and continue to work with both government and the broader aviation community to promote and educate key individuals on Low Visibility Operations.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

How long have you been at Jetcraft?

I joined the company as Senior Sales Engineer in January 2014, as part of the ExecuJet Aircraft Trading team. I had been with ExecuJet for 8 great years.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

My main area of responsibility is providing aircraft evaluations, market reports and aircraft inspections for the sales directors. I work closely with all of the teams and ensure that there is strong integration and workflow across all deals.

I’ve been with Jetcraft for just over six years, starting off at our Raleigh headquarters in the US. I moved over to Switzerland around two years ago to join Jetcraft’s European office here in Zurich. Before working for Jetcraft I was the sales manager for refurbishments and maintenance at Gulfstream.

At its core, Jetcraft is a relationship-focused company. You won’t sell a single airplane if you don’t value relationships. I started with Jetcraft in the summer of 2013, so I am one of the newest recruits here.

What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?

My role is to continue to develop Jetcraft’s business in Latin America. Local customer support is very important and since business is growing in this region it was crucial to have someone here on the ground to be face to face with clients.

Describe a typical day or week in your role.

There really is no typical day but I do spend a lot of my time travelling, visiting clients and viewing aircraft. I need to be out there with our customers and prospects and to see first hand what is happening in the region. There is no point to doing a deal over the phone, good relationships and the best service comes when you are face to face.

I’m responsible for aircraft sales and acquisitions based out of Jetcraft’s headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina. According to Nik, however, he’s never felt pressure to take the same path as the man who made far-reaching achievements in electrical engineering; moreover, he regards his own engineering journey as a coincidence.
