How long have you been at Jetcraft?
I have been working with Jetcraft for 2 years. I work with all customers in Turkey, assisting them with their aircraft sales or acquisition needs.
Describe a typical day or week in your role.
Every day is different. Sometimes I am on the phone, or sometimes I am going to meetings, but either way I am speaking with my customers. I am there to help them move through the steps of their sale or acquisition from beginning through closing.
Product Overview
The Cessna Citation Ultra was an updated version of the original Citation V (Model 560). An updated Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics suite consolidated multiple displays and replaced standard analog flight instruments. The upgraded engines (Pratt & Whitney JT15D-5D turbofans) offered 145 more pounds of thrust per side, and were more efficient.
As of December 2015, all of the Citation Ultra aircraft in operation were purchased pre-owned by the current owners. 8% are currently for sale with more than half of those (63.6%) under an exclusive broker agreement. When for sale, the average number of days a Citation Ultra remains on the market is 364 days.

Year-end is a good time to sell your aircraft and remove it from your books for the new year as a corporate (or personal) asset. Once you’ve decided that you are ready to sell, there are several key pieces of advice to keep in mind in order to sell your aircraft for the best price possible. This will help you prepare your aircraft for sale on terms that you will be comfortable with.
1. Work with an Experienced Partner
According to the National Aircraft Resale Association, 14 percent of airplane owners don’t enlist the services of an expert with transactional aircraft experience to handle their sales. While some in that group are corporate flight departments or others with the requisite knowledge, a considerable number are less experienced people who may be outside of their comfort zone.
It is inadvisable to take on the unnecessary risk of trying to sell your aircraft without the full knowledge of its worth and a thorough understanding of how it fits into the marketplace. For example, how is interest in your class or manufacturer of aircraft trending? Are there buyers in other regions of the world who would pay a higher premium for your aircraft on the market? Having answers to these types of questions can dramatically improve your chances of obtaining the best possible sales price for your aircraft.

Throughout 2015 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Maintenance Repair Organizations (MROs) have been busy developing and completing their aircraft solutions for Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast Out (ADS-B Out), as well as Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS). Equipment suppliers have been introducing new and improved technology, while the FAA has readied itself for ADS-B Out, made strides with Data Communication (Data Comm) and introduced more Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures.

How long have you been at Jetcraft?
My career at Jetcraft began in the summer of 2007, so about 8.5 years now. The time has flown by!
What are your responsibilities within the global Jetcraft team?
I was brought on as the Market Coordinator in 2007 when Jetcraft was averaging only 10-15 listings at a time (now our marketing team manages 90-100 listings at any one time). Since then I have worked as a Sales Engineer, Sales Engineer Director and now as the Sales Director for north-central United States and central Canada. I work with clients in my region to help them either sell their current aircraft, or to help them acquire a new one.

With many buyers and sellers keen to complete their transactions before the new year, now is an opportune time for business jet owners to upgrade, and trading in a current aircraft can move an owner quickly into a model better suited to their mission(s).
An aircraft trade can be advantageous for many reasons, one of which is that it can free up capital so the owner can move more quickly toward acquiring a model more suitable for their changing needs. In such a case, an owner’s best course of action may be to partner with an expert consultant that can seamlessly facilitate the entire trade-in transaction, and move them into an upgraded aircraft quickly and efficiently.
